Description Jaguar E-type 4.2 Convertible (Project)
The previous owner once bravely started the restoration of this E-type.
So much has been done to this car, but the courage to finish it was lacking.
The engine has been done and the entire front suspension has been renewed. The new brake discs were already mounted, so we overhauled the brake calipers. The brake pump has been renewed, hoses and pipes have been replaced and everything has been made working again. The clutch cylinders have been renewed and work properly. The wire wheels are beautiful and have no rust and are fitted with new tires. There is a brand new stainless steel exhaust mounted on new rubbers; all the chrome is brand new. The dashboard is in perfect condition, as are the door panels. The seats are original and the upholstery looks neat, except for a tear in the driver's seat.
The convertible top is new but has yet to be mounted. The floor covering is no longer included but can be purchased separately. The car comes with a whole box of new rubbers. The car drives, brakes and shifts well. The motor is powerful and has enormous torque. The body is rock hard and not filled. The yellow hood and doors are also hard.
This Jaguar already drives like a charm, but needs just a little extra attention in terms of new paint and further finishing. An opportunity for the enthusiast.
All this makes this car, in addition to a well-arranged project for a very reasonable price, a good investment for the future.
