Description Buick Riviera Special Hardtop Coupé 1953
This Buick Riviera Special hardtop Coupé saw the first light of day in 1953. Buick is one of the GM brands which, in terms of appearance, was just below the Cadillac. Recognizable by the ventiports in the front fenders, which have been characteristic of Buick since 1949. Three for the base line and four for the top model like the Roadmaster.
The two-tone paint of this Buick is in very good condition with only some light signs of use. The underside is rock hard, it has never been welded. The chrome is nice with only a few small bumps on the corners of the rear bumper. The interior is still original and in very neat condition. In the dashboard you will find the typical 50s style. See also the special effect of a fully open side when the windows are down. In addition to the beautiful appearance, everything works optimally. The engine compartment is not inferior to it and is also very neatly cared for. Naturally, the car is completely free of rust.
The engine is mated to a two-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission. This is easy to operate, shifts smoothly and is free of play. The Line-8 Fireball 263.3CU runs silky smooth and always has plenty of power available.
The car is equipped with the optional heater and has a spotlight on the driver's side. The backlight sensor on the dashboard is particularly special, which switches off the high beam when an oncoming vehicle approaches.
Of course we have provided the Buick with new brakes and fresh oils.
In its entirety, a beautiful old-timer that invites you to go for a nice tour.
